We are glad to propose a new Sport Centre run by an American with Irish origins. James Tibbets has got a very good sports background and the passion to teach. He used to be the coach of the French and Irish teams of hockey and of the Pittsburg Pinguins team in National Hockey League. Located at Dundalk, this university centre has remarkable sports equipments and proposes a very first grade training course for foot, ice hockey, basketball, golf and rugby fanatics ! What makes this stay really different is that our students are accommodated in Homestay families whose child goes to the same programme. ACCOMMODATIONFull boarding in a homestay family – one French student per family whose child participates to the same sport programme. ENGLISH CLASSES10 hours of lessons a week with qualified teachers. One teacher for 15 students maximum. They take place every afternoon from 4 to 6 pm in groups of same level of English. SPORTS TRAINING COURSES25 hours of training courses for Irish and foreigners with an intermediate and advanced level. Timetable : 9:00-12:00am and 1:30-3:30pm. ICE HOCKEY 15 hours a week with coaches on the ice-rink (focus on team play, on the game) and 10 hours per week outside the ice-rink (physical training, shot and puck handling).ONLY from 29 June to 13 July BASKETBALL25 hours a week of training with American coaches like Jim O’Brien from National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The players will emphasize on the gam tactics: 1/1, 3/3 and 5/5.Reinforcement of offensive and defensive fundamentals. ONLY from 6 to 20 July RUGBY 25 hours a week. Tactical approach and techniques of the drills. Focus on team play and reinforcement of offensive and defensive fundamentals. ONLY from 13 to 27 July GOLF 10 hours a week with PGA coaches. 3 different courses a week and 2 intensive trainings a week with practice, putting green and bunker exit. ONLY from 6 to 20 July EXCURSIONS AND EVENINGS Evening in group every Wednesday with for example : cinema, bowling or shopping. Visit of Dublin on Saturday.
