Funcoast - Residence - 7/15 years old - English through games

Skegness is a seaside resort in the North-East of England in Lincolnshire and it's one of the biggest  attraction parks in England with a fabulous range of sports and play. There are mostly English families who come here and so our French students have contact with English children. These programmes are organised in collaboration with ANGLOPHILES. All our students came back delighted with this programme.

There are 3 programmes:

ENGLISH THROUGH GAMES (7-11 YEARS OLD) 
A first approach to the English language with a method based on play, stories, drawing, and roleplay, etc. The classes are given by a bilingual French/English team, the children are part of the "Noddy Club" and take part in painting, pottery and craft workshops.  21 hours of English classes during the stay. 

LANGUAGE AND FUN (11-15 YEARS OLD)
This approach is based on listening and speaking skills to allow the children to master English in concrete situations. Classes are divided according to level (test the first day) and there are 15 students maximum per class. The teachers are English native speakers. 21 hours of English class during the stay. 

ENGLISH AND SPORTS (11/15 YEARS OLD)
English classes : 21 hours
Basketball : 20 hours of training (8 afternoon) with qualified coaches. "Champions' league" is organised after the trainings.
Tennis : 16 hours of training (8 afternoon) with qualified teachers. Training on 4 outdoor courts in the park. Mini tournaments are organised after the training. Level: beginners to 30/5.

ACCOMMODATION
Very comfortable appartments for 2-6 children, located in the park next to all the activities. Full-board.

SUPERVISION
There is a director, a French-British team of monitors, and English teachers. There is a ratio of 1 monitor for 8 children for the 7/11 years old  and 1 monitor for 10 for the 11/15 years old.
