Freiburg - Residence/Host Family- 10/18 years old- Tennis, Football, Multi-activities

This  university town is situated in the South-West of Germany next to the Black Forest, near France and Switzerland. There are 220 000 inhabitants and its 900 year old history makes it one of the most beautiful towns in Germany. There is a large private tennis club with 13 outdoor courts (3 clay), 3 synthetic indoor courts, 5 squash courts, 6 badminton courts, where our students have been going for the past 3 years.

Located next to Basle, Freibourg is a really pleasant town, that we've know for 14 years, with its architecture, student atmosphere, bicycles everywhere, pedestrian streets, and surrounded by green hills. A few years ago, it was elected by a German newspaper as the nicest place to live in Germany.

ACCOMMODATION

In a host family (15/18 years old)

1 French per family, with possiblity to have another foreign student.


In residence (10/15 years old) : 2 possibilities

1. Residence on the edge of the forest for 10/12 years old and 13/15 years old :
The residence has several classrooms, table tennis, a cafeteria, and several sports facilites outside (volleyball for example). The centre of Fribourg is only a 12 minutes tramway ride away. Each student is given a travel pass for the duration of his stay. 
A swimming pool and the leisure centre  are just 5 minutes walking distance from the residence . Accommodation in rooms of 4 to 6 beds with a washbasin in each room and toilets and showers for every 2 rooms. Breakfast and dinner in the residence and lunch in a restaurant near the stadium.
GERMAN CLASSES: 15 lessons a week with two different teachers : one for grammar and one for conversation. 

2. Residence for 16/18 years old :
The residence is near the tennis club; rooms with 4 beds with bathroom and TV. Breakfast in the residence, lunch and dinner in a restaurant in town with the group.
GERMAN CLASSES: from 9:30am to 12:15pm : 20 lessons of  45 minutes per week with two different teachers. 

TENNIS 10 h of coaching per week in the Sportpark :  a large private tennis club with 13 outdoor courts (3 clay), 3 indoor carpet courts, 5 squash courts, 6 badminton courts. Please note the advantage of having indoor courts in case of bad weather, and the possibility of using all the facilites after training.

FOOTBALL for boys and girls aged 13 to 15 years old

New programme this summer : German + Football ! Training and matches 4 afternoon per week, supervised by professionals. Stay of 2, 3 or 4 weeks from 20 July and 2 weeks from 3 to 16 August Accommodation in residence

MULTI-ACTIVITIES

The weekly programme : 2 afternoons of sport, a pedagogical day with a German teacher, one afternoon excursion and one full-day excursion.
