Freiburg - Residence/Host Family- 10/18 years old- Tennis, Football, Multi-activities

This  university town is situated in the South-West of Germany next to the Black Forest, near France and Switzerland. There are 220 000 inhabitants and its 900 year old history makes it one of the most beautiful towns in Germany. There is a large private tennis club with 13 outdoor courts (3 clay), 3 synthetic indoor courts, 5 squash courts, 6 badminton courts, where our students have been going for the past 3 years. Freibourg is a really pleasant town, that we've know for 14 years, with its architecture, student atmosphere, bicycles everywhere, pedestrian streets, and surrounded by green hills. A few years ago, it was elected by a German newspaper as the nicest place to live in Germany.

ACCOMMODATION

• In a host family (15/18 years old): One French per family, with generally another foreign student.
  

• In residence (10/15 years old) : You have the choice between 2 possibilities:

1. Residence on the edge of the forest for 10/12 years old and 13/15 years old children :
The residence has several classrooms, table tennis, a cafeteria, and several sports fields. The centre of Fribourg is only at 12 minutes tramway ride away. 
 Accommodation in rooms of 4 to 6 beds with a washbasin in each room and toilets and showers for every 2 rooms. Breakfast and dinner in the residence and lunch in a restaurant on town.
GERMAN CLASSES: 15 classes during 50 minutes a week with two different teachers.

2. Residence for 16/18 years old children :
Accommodation in rooms with 2 or 3 beds with bathroom and TV. Breakfast in the residence, lunch and dinner in a restaurant in town.
GERMAN CLASSES: from 9.15am to 12.30pm, 20 lessons of  45 minutes per week with two different teachers. 

TENNIS 10hours of classes per week in one of the biggest tennis clubs of the Südbaden region which has 15 outdoor courts and 3 indoor carpet courts. All the coaches are professionals and very nice. German children play every afternoon in this club. NEW THIS YEAR :  You can choose the Intensive Tennis Option! For those who are very motivated, they have the possibility to register to the F.M. Sport Head Cup 2009 taking place from July 31st to August 2nd. (An extra cost of 20€ will be required)

FOOTBALL (for boys and girls aged 13 to 15 years old) Training and matches 4 afternoons per week, supervised by professionals from the Freiburg F.C. Please note that this programme is only available from July 26th to August 8th.

MULTI-ACTIVITIES
The weekly programme is made up of 2 afternoons of sport, a pedagogical day with a German teacher, one afternoon excursion and one full-day excursion.
